apricot’s closet

My personal style is minimalistic, slightly androgynous & simple. I like neutral, monochromatic colors; sometimes I wear bold colors & prints, but it’s very rare that I do. My style can sometimes be feminine with a hard edge; it all depends on my mood.

I am typically found in flats or strappy sandals, because they’re easy. I never wear stilettos or anything with a heel; I am tall enough as it is. It’s next to impossible for me to walk — let alone run — in heels.

I don’t own or buy anything from a big brand. I try not to bother myself with those things. If I like a certain something, I’ll get it, regardless of the brand. I tend to choose comfort & practicality, over expense & glamour.

I do not believe in spending nonsensical amounts of money on any one thing, no matter how splendid (with the exception of my beloved Raybans, of course!). I am very frugal. I enjoy proving that it’s more than possible to dress stunningly on a tight budget, without your outfit revealing so.

I am inspired mainly by the music I listen to, the books I read & the movies I watch. Also, Erin Wasson, Zoe Kravitz, & Kirsten Dunst.

My fashion statements are usually sophisticated & slightly whimsical. What matters most to me is that they are sincere.

Based on all the fashion statements I’ve done, my style has certainly evolved over the years. Here are all of my fashion statements; from the most recent to the later.

Yay for your fashion closet! It looks great! One reason I love your style is that I am also all about the bargain shopping. I swear, most of my wardrobe is Target and Old Navy. Maybe that makes me boring. But really it’s cuz I’m lazy (and don’t have that much $$!) — although I love clothes, I hate shopping — driving to the mall, finding a parking spot, fighting the crowds … blah! Where would I be without Target? Your style has also influenced me to embrace more neutral colors. Oh, and I also adorable Kirsten Dusnt. Lava her!

I love your style so much. Simplicity is the key. I wish more people would realize that.
