striped tank, from Forever21; cut-off shorts, from H&M; tights are from the 99 cent store; shoes are from DSW; cardigan is from Ruche.com; necklaces from dogeared.com & my own shop.
What I wore yesterday for meeting some new friends at The Alcove in Los Feliz for lunch. It was my very time going there — my very first time being in Los Feliz, actually — & despite the crowded conditions, the food was amazing. (As was the company.)
For the last few days, it’s been very overcast & crisp in the mornings here in Pasadena. Which satisfies my soul in a way that I can’t explain. To be able to wear a cardigan with tights without sweating my panties off is an accomplishment. I’ve been so tired of wearing tank tops & shorts. I’m so ready to bundle up & layer for Fall.
Also, in my last post, some of you had asked about the fourth tattoo I have. I have an outline of a dragonfly on my lower hip. It isn’t perfectly done, but it has a lot of sentimental value, considering it was the very first tattoo I got; I was eighteen years old at the time. I picked the dragonfly because it represents change & growing maturity.

I love that THAT is your fall wear. Considering it SNOWED here today (and Friday night), this just makes me want to throw a blanket on you. (And be jealous that you can look so cute right now! I’d LOVE to shed a layer and it’s only October!
OH! And I forgot to say – I had brunch at the Alcove with Nico when I was there back in August. SO GOOD!
I was completely ecstatic to break out my tights this past week, too =]
I adore your blog & that drapey-cardi!
Love the cardigan. Your post make me wanna go shopping and try and find a new look!
SO HAPPY it’s finally cooling off. I can’t even begin to express the joy.
And you went to the Alcove??! I love the food there. It’s always a cluster-fuck, but the food is so good.
We’re already thick into sweaters + scarves here in STL! Someone decided to turn the cold air on and it’s only a high of mid-50s all week. I wish it were a tad warmer so I could pull off a look like this. Also? LOVE DSW. One of my favorite shoe places in the world =)
Cute cardigan!
ohh that cardigan is so adorable! Love the outfit and hooray for fall!
I too live in California, but up north (I used to live down south, but I moved :-/). I wish I could have worn your outfit today, but I fear that I might have turned into a Popsicle! It’s cold up here! (Cold being mid-50s to low 60s…I know, I know. This doesn’t really qualify as being cold.)
I’m tired too of wearing Summer clothes BUT I never get tired of wearing flipflops! :) You look fabulously gorgeous!
ohmygoodness i love alcove! i’ve only been a handful of times but every time has been amazing. the turkey and humus sandwich is delicious and their red velvet cupcakes are all sorts of amazing!
Your hair is getting so long! I love it!
I also love the California idea of fall, I could totally go for that.
lol. my fall is muuuch colder. we had freezing rain :(
Your haircut is fabulous, it shows of our bone structure nicely. I love how you layered two necklaces, one short and the other long. Brilliant!
