apricot’s closet: may wrap-up.

Firstly… I’m flattered to have been interviewed over at Sophie Mae’s style blog.

Sophie is a gorgeous gem. Not only does she have an amazing style blog — her photographs resemble those of a fashion magazine spread — but she is an accomplished personal stylist/shopper. You must check out her style blog, & the neat little services she offers as a stylist. I know that if I were in need of a personal stylist, I would enlist Sophie without question.

Check out the interview here.

I’m embarrassed to admit that…

  • I cried like a baby while watching Titanic the other night. Even well after the movie was over, I was still weeping like a sappy idiot. It’s the music, I tell you! Just the first few notes of “My Heart Will Go On” creates a lump in my throat. (I am such a girl.)
  • I’m slightly nervous about this blogger meet-up in Las Vegas this weekend. I also keep getting excited at the prospect of seeing Grissom & The Gang… until I remind myself that it’s only a television show, for Heaven’s sake!
  • I just took a walk around my neighborhood in shorts, & I haven’t shaved my legs in a week.
  • When someone left a comment stating that “English is one of the most beautiful languages in the world…” I burst into laughter. English the most beautiful language? Blasphemy! If anyone has ever listened to the sultry dialect of a Frenchman (or an Italian man), I’m sure you’re laughing, as well.
  • I’m not really enjoying this “June Gloom.” The overcast skies are making me lazy, lethargic, & slightly melancholy.
  • I am only eloquent in my writings when it involves some sort of a list.

I adore titanic and that song. I actually lipsinked to it with a giant cardboard bow of the titanic my dad built for me. Good luck in Vegas!

I bet you can pull off hairy legs, lol. I am so light skinned, 2 days after I shaved, I look like a damn bush woman!! French is very sexy, especially when it is the Parisian dialect. When I was in Paris, i was trying to emulate their accent (I speak canadian french, which is less sexy) & I got somewhere, people were telling me i have a belgium :-)

Awww, I get like that with a couple of songs, too. Nothing to be embarrassed about. =)

As for your legs…I think you can pass. It’s the underarms that are unforgiveable. LOL

And to tell you the truth, I’d be hoping to run into the cast of CSI, too.

Boo June Gloom! I love your ripped jeans.

And I love Titanic!! And CSI!!! Las Vegas is the best one, but Gil left the show! It’s Morpheus now, I think. (Which sucks, in my opinion.) And uh, I don’t shave my legs in the winter and I think I do it weekly in the summer. My boyfriend is appalled.

    -I love your shinny brogues!
-I am jealous you’re going to Las Vegas!
-I totally related to Coraline yesterday while watching it, so a few tears during titanic doesnt make you the child I am… :P :P :P

I’m sorry, but that’s what I think; English is a really beautiful language ! Maybe it’s because it isn’t my mother tongue :)
(if I have correctly understood your post x))

Any way, I like your blog <3 !

It’s OK: I’m a little nervous about meeting everyone in Vegas, too. But it’s going to be an amazing time. I just know it.

And I totally bawled during Titanic when it first came out (woohoo, seventh grade!) and the last time I watched it this year. It’s bad.

Oh – you’re going to Las Vegas! That’s brilliant . . . a bunch of my friends are going on October, we were going to join them but alas, flying to the other side of the world is expensive :(

And hurrah for the interview :)

I bawl BAWL in Titanic everytime I see that shot of that old couple lying in bed, holding each other as the water rises. I’m getting teary just thinking about it right now!! *sniff*

I also agree that English sounds boring most of the time – only the most eloquent poets (with charming British accents) can make it sound remotely romantic!

Sexy sexy — I especially like the black lace with the daring lip color.

Oh and I know just what you mean about being so wrecked by a movie that you still cry after it’s over. When I went to a press screening of Marley and Me (the last half hour is about the beloved family dog DYING), I got in the elevator to leave and another critic was in there, and we were BOTH still sobbing, trying to lightly acknowledge our mutually crumpled states to each other as we both nearly hyperventilated and scrounged in our bags for tissues.

    Bonjour mademoiselle,

Let me tell you that I adoooore your blog, I discovered it weeks ago but never let a message.

I just created my own blog, to show photos I take.

I think you’re very sympathetic, if we weren’t so far away, I’d like to be a friend of yours!

I live in Paris, France, so I do agree : le français est une très belle langue, mais l’anglais est aussi super à entendre, surtout dans les chansons! ;)
    haha

    P.S : I looove Titanic too!!

Have fun in Vegas! And remember- what happens in Vegas, does NOT stay in Vegas….it must be blogged about! :)
