apricot’s closet: new digs.

bathing-suit-022

black fedora & chained necklace from H&M; shorts & sandals from Ross; bag from Forever21; jewelry is miscellaneous.

If you see me somewhere with a hat on my head, there’s a good chance that I only wore it out of laziness. (Summer=laziness, if you didn’t know.) Seriously, hats are my new best friend. & I am so relieved that I found a black version of the grey hat I hunted down with pure dedication.

& this purse it probably the coolest purse I’ve ever owned. I waited for a whole month before deciding that I deserved to reward myself with it. Jonathan was the one that ultimately convinced me into getting it as he exclaimed, wide-eyed “Oh my god, Babe! That purse is the most awesomest purse I’ve ever seen! If I could carry a purse, that would be it!!! Seriously. You better get it, babe… or else!”

He didn’t have to tell me twice.

Also, I changed the layout around here; what do you think of it? I had the cherry blossoms for so long — ever since I started this blog over a year ago — & while they were beautiful, I felt like I’d outgrown them. For now, the layout will be kept simple until I can figure out just what I want to do with it.

Awesome hat for the win. Seriously, I’m pathetically sensitive to the sun — I need to make hats happen, because I’m wearing them either way!

And that bag looks very chic, I’m not at all surprised it got the Man Endorsement. ;)

Actually I love this layout! If you change anything don’t do too much, sometimes simple is better. Plus, I think your header with the handwritten type for the blog title is very cool :)

Is there a way we can see a better picture of the purse?

ohmygoodness, you have incredibly long legs! i could only dream of having your longer limbs.

and I love the new layout (even though I liked the cherry blossoms just as well), sometimes simplicity is JUST necessary.

I dig the new layout. I’m actually switching my blog over to a new url (for real this time) and am playing with layouts. Hmmm…nice and simple.

Hey. Love the hat. When I was in NY, I tried one & I looked like a boy. I think it’s coz Im doing the short curly hair right now.
As for bags… Ev’yan… I bought the most beautiful black bag, by Guess.. it cost me 115$, but it was SO worth it. It’s sturdy (Im always on the go, with my 10 inch, light as feather laptop, & the world in my purse). Yesterday, I was at a book shop & the librarian tells me : ‘your bag is so gorgeous, you are either very wealthy, or someone loves you alot.’ LOL. It looks like a million bucks. Sometimes you have to splurge & I’m glad I did… You know when a bag CHEERS you up? Yeahhhh… It’s love :-)

Love the purse! Jonathan has good taste. ;) Big purses are so awesome. You can carry everything! Which is probably even more important in the summer.

And you look so fabulous in hats. Jealous.

I love the major simple design. It’s refreshing! Also, diggin the hat. I can’t rock the hats myself. I only have a few that work.

Hi. I read once in an old blog of yours that people often ask you what your race is. What race ARE you if you don’t mind me asking? Also.. out of curiousity.. how is it being in an interracial marriage? I typically don’t date but when i AM interested in a man he’s usually outside of my race and i’m curious to know your perspective on it.

    Thanks

That man seriously knows what to say to a girl doesn’t he? Who wouldn’t love to have their purse justified like that! Awesome.

I’ll miss the cherry blossoms (always been a favorite of mine) but this layout is nice and slick too. Very appropriate for all of the new beginnings going around over at Casa Apricot! (for you and the husband)

And I totally have a lazy hat thing too, although they are always knit beanies. In fact the gray hat in my last post is my ‘bad hair day hat’. Just a fantastic excuse not to fuss with the hair.
